  • Full refunds (minus 10%) are available for cancellations until July 31.
  • Between August 1 and August 15 cancellations receive partial refunds:
  • Rendezvous registration: $25
  • There are no refunds for optional add-ons during this period
  • There are no refunds after August 15.
  • The Rendezvous registration fee does not include moorage. Payment for your moorage is completed directly to the marina once you arrive at Telegraph Harbour.
  • Reserve your moorage directly with Telegraph Harbour via their online booking form. Be sure to put “Tollycruisers Rendezvous” in the group booking section.
  • Upon entering Telegraph Harbour contact them on Channel 66A.
  • Morning Coffee: Greet guests, make coffee, transfer coffee to urns, provide water for kettle (tea), tidy food area as necessary. Clean up at the end of service.
  • Burgers & Brews: Assist with meal prep, organize service area, initial cooking and serving | Final cooking, serving and clean-up of cooking and serving area.
  • 50/50 and Raffle Ticket Sales: Sell tickets to all participants, ensure all tickets are torn apart. For raffle, assist participants with how to “bid” on items.
  • Photography: Take lots of photos!! Upload to our photo library (TBD)
  • Potluck Dinners: Set-up tables for serving, keep food service moving, ensure tables are clean following the potluck.
  • “Ruby-Marge”arita Dock Tales: Prep and serve margaritas, clean-up service area.
  • Set-Up / Tear Down: Assist with general set-up and tear down of Rendezvous activities throughout the weekend.
  • Activities, games & events: Assist with bingo, games, pet parade or marine swap meet.

This is your chance to meet other newcomers and ask any questions you may have and start the fun of Rendezvous weekend.

What to Bring: Marine related items needing a new home

Do you have boating items taking up valuable space on your Tolly or your garage? Then bring them to sell at our Marine Swap Meet.

All items must be clearly labeled with you and your Tolly’s names. Please remove any unsold items promptly at the end of the Swap Meet (if we return them, we might include more than you brought).

Knots are back!! We’re refining this seminar to give you the basic knots needed on your Tolly. (And we won’t lose the handouts this year!)

Margaritas on the dock are a long-standing Tollycruisers tradition. Started by, and staffed by Ruby Olsen and Marge Felton (Rhubarb II,) it’s always been a great way to kick off Rendezvous weekend.

We’ll fire up the BBQs at the pavilion at 5 p.m. So grab your chairs, dock tales and grilling supplies and join us for a “backyard BBQ” on the lawn.

NOTE 1: the club provides the corn, you provide your protein.

NOTE 2: you can also prepare your protein on your Tolly instead of using the marina’s BBQs.

Fun and Games

Date & Time: Poker hands can be purchased beginning on Friday, August 30 from Doug & Kathy Bell (Bellelaff). Completed packages must be returned by Sunday, September 1 at 12 p.m.

What to Bring: Mosquito repellant for the walk/bike around Thetis Island

Cost: $5/hand

Take a leisurely walk (bike ride, scooter ride, etc) around Thetis Island to complete your hand(s) for the Bud Cooper Memorial Poker Run. The three Tollycruisers with the best poker hands take home a share of the pot!

Join us for some Tropical Tolly Fun!!

Flip Flop Flippin – Who has most accurate flip flop flippin’ skills? We’ll provide the regulation flip flops.

Ulu Maika with a Canadian Twist – An ancient Hawaiian sport, Ulu Maika, involves rolling a disc-shaped stone (known as maika) across a field, showcasing accuracy and skill. And we’re adding a Canadian twist!

Rum Toonie Toss – Take home a bottle of rum if your toonie is closest to the bottle of rum in this club fundraiser! See more details in the Fundraising section below.

Location: On the float behind the old fuel dock

Provided: Bingo cards, daubers (if you don’t have a favourite one)

What to Bring: Cash; chair; your good-luck troll; a drink; favourite dauber; mosquito repellant

Cost: $5 for one card or $20 for 5

A crowd favourite, join other bingo lovers to see if you will be the first to yell Bingo (and make enemies of everyone needing just one more square).

All proceeds go to the winner(s).

What to Bring: Your yummy SPAM side dish in the provided judging cups; remainder in a serving dish for participants to enjoy alongside their burger lunch.

Take our key ingredient (SPAM) and elevate it into a yummy side dish for our burger lunch. Judges will select the winner.

Details

Three judges will taste the Cook-Off using the following criteria:

  • 10 points: Taste
  • 6 points: Use of SPAM in the dish
  • 4 points: Creativity and theme

Use the three containers in your goodie bag to prepare samples for judging. These have been labeled with your contest number. On Saturday, take your samples for judging to the pavilion between 11:50 a.m. and 12 p.m. Please do not include your name or boat name – it’s a blind judging.

Bring the rest of your side dish to the BBQ area in a serving container for lunch.

Your dish must contain the key ingredient and all other ingredients are up to you. Dish may be served hot or cold.

NEW FOR 2024! Join us for our inaugural cribbage tournament. Only $5 to enter with the proceeds going to the top 3 participants.

We will supply 10 cribbage boards but if you have one on your Tolly, please feel free to bring it.

Join us for some Tropical Tolly Fun!!

Pass the Avocado -Who will be the last person to escape the avocado? You don’t want to be caught holding Tolly Cruise when the music stops.

Lei Toss Relay – Which team can toss the lei fastest? This knock-out tournament will crown the fastest lei tossers on the island.

Aw Shucks Julie Hausberg Corn Husking Competition– Our longest standing tradition – husking corn for our Saturday dinner. Named in honour of Julie Hausberg who brought the idea of a Canadian Rendezvous to life, you’ll compete to shuck your corn the fastest (and cleanest).

What to Bring: Completed pet parade bio; your pet; comfy chair (optional)

All pets (with their humans) are welcome to take part in our annual Pet Parade. Tollycruisers celebrities judge the pets based on the following criteria:

  • Theme: How well the Rendezvous theme is portrayed by the pet.
  • Personality: How well is the pet’s personality reflected?
  • Strut: Do the pet and human “own” the red carpet?
  • Creativity: Incorporation of creativity into the overall presentation.
  • The pets with the three highest overall scores receive prizes.

Prior to the pet parade, complete the pet information form (included in your goodie bag) to hand to the MC during the Pet Parade.

Fundraising & SWAG

Dates & Times:

  • Tickets sold throughout the day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday
  • Drawings following dinner on Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Location: Volunteers in red aprons on the docks

Ticket Prices: 5 for $5 or 25 for $20

50/50 tickets will be sold throughout Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Look for the volunteers in the red aprons walking up and down the dock (there’s also a good chance they’ll find you).

With three drawings – Friday, Saturday and Sunday – triple the chances to win!

The winner receives 50% of the sales for that day. The remaining 50% goes to the club who will donate 5% to the Princess Louisa Inlet Foundation.

If you have items to donate, please bring them to the pavilion at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 1. We will provide you with a ticket box/bag.

Okay, it’s not quite that simple.

  • We do have minimum numbers that must be achieved for each item. If we don’t, we will refund you at the Rendezvous.
  • If you have to cancel your registration, we will refund you as per our refund policy. Please note there are no refunds after August 15 (we can send your SWAG home with another member or pick-up can be arranged at Shelter Island Marina).

Not coming to the Rendezvous?!?!?

  • While we are unable to ship these items, we are happy to send them home with another member or arrange pick-up at Shelter Island Marina in Richmond.
  • Please note if you choose to have your SWAG sent home with another member and they are unable to attend the Rendezvous, your items will be available at Shelter Island Marina unless we are notified of alternate delivery during the Rendezvous.
