Whether this is your first Tollycraft Rendezvous or your 36th…here’s the information you need for the 2024 Canadian Tollycruisers Rendezvous.

Tollycruisers Rendezvous Information

The 2024 Tollycruisers Rendezvous is a TROPICAL TOLLYCRUISERS RENDEZVOUS! Many of the events/decorations/games taking place during the weekend will feature this theme. 

Join in the fun by:

  • Decorating your boat
  • Dressing the part for our Rendezvous theme dinners
  • If your pet is attending the Rendezvous, be sure to include a Tropical themed outfit for our Pet Parade
  • Taking part in our themed days:
    • Friday: TBA
    • Saturday: TBA
    • Sunday: TBA

Many Tollycruisers are known to celebrate the theme all weekend long. Prizes for best costume and decorated Tollycraft announced on Sunday night.

1st Timers Meet & Greet

All first time Rendezvous participants, new Tollycruisers members and anyone attending after being away for a while are invited to a meet & greet.

This is your chance to meet other newcomers and ask any questions you may have and start the fun of Rendezvous weekend.


Dinghy Fun

Join us for some dinghy fun during the Rendezvous.



Tollycruisers Business Meeting

Join other Tollycruisers for our annual Business Meeting. Share your ideas for future club events and be part of all the Tollycruisers fun.



Join us for a seminar or two to help make the most of your time on your Tolly.


Music Under the Stars

Join us on Saturday evening for a musical performance. Bring your lawnchairs, beverage of choice, bug spray and enjoy the music.

Marine Swap Meet

Do you have some boating items taking up valuable space on your Tolly or in your garage. Then bring them to sell at our Marine Swap Meet.


Pet Parade

If you have a Tolly pet on board, you’ll want to take part in the pet parade. Prize for the pets that best represents the Tropical Tollycruisers Rendezvous theme.


Bud Cooper Memorial Poker Run – $5/hand

Take a leisurely walk (bike ride, scooter ride, etc) around Thetis Island to complete your hand(s) for the Bud Cooper Memorial Poker Run. The three Tollycruisers with the best poker hands take home a share of the pot!


  • Tequila Toonie Toss: Bring your toonies (or buy some from us) to see if you can be the closest to the bottle and take home the tequila.
  • Tollytration: Our take on the classic concentration game – be sure to avoid the Bayliners.
  • Aw Shucks Julie Hausberg Corn Husking Competition: Our longest standing tradition – husking corn for our Saturday dinner. Named in honour of Julie Hausberg who brought the idea of a Canadian Rendezvous to life, you’ll compete to shuck your corn the fastest (and cleanest).

Name That Tune Dock Tales

Now this one may get you singing! Grab your favourite docktail, lawn chair and join Bill Hennis for our annual Name That Tune!



Take our key ingredient (TBA) and elevate it into a yummy side dish for our burger lunch. Judges will select the winner.

Cook-Off Information

Three judges will taste the Cook-Off using the following criteria:

  • 10 points: Taste
  • 6 points: Use of the key ingredient in the dish
  • 4 points: Creativity and theme

Use the three containers in your welcome package to prepare samples for judging. These have been labeled with your contest number. On Saturday, take your samples for judging to the pavilion by 11:40 a.m.

Bring the rest of your side dish to the BBQ area in a serving container for lunch.

Your dish must contain the key ingredient and all other ingredients are up to you. Dish may be served hot or cold.

Early Bird Dock Tales (Thursday)

Planning to arrive on Thursday? Then join other early birds for Dock Tales to start the party! Bring your chair, a drink and enjoy fun and conversation.


“Ruby-Marge”arita Dock Tales (Friday)

Margaritas on the dock are a long-standing Tollycruisers tradition. Started by, and staffed by Ruby Olsen and Marge Felton (Rhubarb II,) it’s always been a great way to kick off Rendezvous weekend.

Donations of tequila and/or mix are appreciated. Don’t have tequila on board – our Tequila Toonie Toss just happens to be scheduled before margaritas (hint, hint).


Appy Pot Luck – Tropical Themed (Friday)

Bring your favourite Tropical themed appetizer to share as we enjoy an appy dinner.


Cook-off AND Burger Lunch (Saturday)

Enjoy freshly grilled burgers prepared by our volunteers

Accompanying your burger will be side dishes created for our Cook-Off. See the Fun & Games tab for the Cook-off Information)


Corn & BBQ Dinner (Saturday)

We’ll supply the corn. You supply your favourite protein – it’s your choice if you use your BBQ or the BBQs at the pavilion.



Terry Murphy Pancake Breakfast (Sunday)

The pancake breakfast is a long-time Tollycruisers Rendezvous tradition.

Thank-you to Brad & Cheryl Butler (The Dog House, 1992 Tolly 44) for organizing the Terry Murphy Pancake Breakfast.


Tropical Final Dinner

This may be our traditional potluck dinner or our final dinner may be catered. Stay tuned for all the details.


Many hands make light work! When you register for the Rendezvous, choose your preferred volunteer role(s). Once registration is complete, you can expect to receive an email with the details of your 1-2 hour volunteer shift.

50/50 Draw (5 for $5 or 25 for $20)

Be sure to buy your 50/50 tickets during the weekend. Volunteers will be selling tickets Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

With three drawings – Friday, Saturday and Sunday – there are triple the chances to win!

Winner takes home 50% of the pot.
